iDEA18 Academic Convenor | Medical Student, The University of Newcastle
Georgia is a second year medical student at the University of Newcastle on Awabakal country. She has been a nature lover for as long as she can remember, and developed a reputation in early primary school for carting around insects as pets in class. This interest has now evolved into a passion for action and education based strategies for change, and is increasingly amazed by the extent of the direct relationship between the natural environment and human health.
Georgia is involved in the Fossil Free Unis network and is co-convenor of Fossil Free UoN, as well as being Coordinator of DEA UoN. She has been involved with Code Green, the executive of UoN’s Wake Up! Global Health and has completed training with AMSA Global Health.
Aside from hassling UoN to divest, Georgia enjoys time outside – the cheapest medicine!
